Udupi: Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Kota Srinivas Poojary commenting on JD(S) leader and MLC Basavaraj Horatti statement that Assembly should be dissolved and a new election should be announced, said that Horatti being a senior politician had understood that the coalition government had failed to meet the expectation of the people.
Addressing presspersons here Srinivas said the state coalition government will collapse after the Lok Sabha poll results are out, as exit polls had shown the prospects of BJP coming to power again.
“Though exit polls have been predicting 20 seats for BJP in Karnataka, we are hopeful of getting more than 22 seats,” he said.
Cracks developed in coalition government during the Lok Sabha election. Now with BJP more or less coming to power again, the internal clashes have reached the pinnacle. This state government, led by Congress-JDS, will collapse soon, he said.
Further speaking on the allegations made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that EVMs have been tampered with were levelled to hide her failure and the rejection of her party by the voters.
