‘Hulivesha’ styled helmet; Karavali’s new trend

Mangaluru: Earlier, Karan Acharya from Karvali created a picture of Hanuman which becoame a trend throughout the country. In the same way, a youth from Kuttar is attracting attention after creating a helmet shaped like the face of a tiger.
Akanksh, who is a student is attracting peoples gaze by wearing a tiger faced helmet. Akanksh bought an ISI marked helmet and requested artist Umesh Bolar to paint it resembling a tiger. But, Umesh used Thermofoam and Gum and created an helmet that looks like the face of a tiger.
Akanksh informed ‘Udayavani’ that though the helmet was created six months back, I started using it from a few days back. My grandfather was ‘Hulivesha’ artist and since childhood I was attracted to it.”
Therefore Ihe created a helmet that represents the face of a tiger, says Akanksh who is a final year engineering student at a private school in the college.
‘Hulivesha Helmet’ goes viral on social networks
Since a few days, the ‘Hulivesha Helmet’ photo has gone viral on Whatsapp and Facebook. If some people are surprised to see the tiger faced helmet worn by Akanksh, few others stop his bike, wear his helmet and take selfies.
Action after inspection
“I have heard about vehicle alteration before. But we will inspect the rules regarding helmet alteration and then take legal action,” said Manjunath Shetty, ACP, Traffic Division.
