Interpol notice: German man arrested in B’luru

Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials arrested a German national from Hulimangala village after a Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued against him.

The arrested is identified as Alexander Bruno Wehnelt (55).

As per sources, a Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued against Alexander by the Interpol on the request of the National Crime Bureau (NCB), Wiesbaden, for kidnap and causing body injuries in Germany in 2015.

Speaking with this regard B Dayanand, Additional Director General of Police (Economic Offences Division) and Interpol liaison officer, CID said that Alexander had come down to Bengaluru soon after committing the crime.

Though his visa had expired in 2016 he has been living in the city.

The CID police after learning about his whereabouts took him to their custody.
