IT Raid at businesses related to Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: The IT raid at Krishna Heritage resort in Badami was followed by a raid at two business establishments holding close association to B Ramanath Rai, minister and Congress candidate from Bantwal constituency at late evening on Tuesday, May 8th.
According sources, IT officials on Tuesday began raids on Mugrody Constructions in Kavoor Junction, situated in the outskirts of Mangaluru city and Birwa Centre boarding, lodging, restaurant, located in Melkar in Mangaluru- Bengaluru Highway .
Mugrody Constructions is owned by Sudhakar Shetty, while Sanjeev Poojary is the owner of Birwa Centre. Sources say that IT officials have been checking documents at these places.
The raid at Krishna Heritage resort in Badami came after Chief Minister Siddramaiah’s visit two days back as it was the meeting place for the Congress leaders.
