Bengaluru: Janata Dal (Secular) will announce its election candidates’ list by December 20.

JD(S) State president H D  Kumaraswamy is on talks for finalizing the candidates list.

“Leaders met the aspiring candidates here on Thursday and have provided the list for conformation,” H D  Kumaraswamy said.

Kumaraswamy has told that the party has divided 224 constituencies under A, B, and C categories. While 80 seats have been listed under A (with very high winning chances) some 90 seats listed under B category (where party can win, if it fields a winnable candidate and employing more effort). Rest of the 54 seats comes under category C, where there is little hope. “Most of the seats under category `A’ falls are in south and central parts of Karnataka,” he said.
