Jilted KPSC staffer assaults woman colleague with machete

Bengaluru: High drama prevailed at the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) office on Monday, November 5 after a jilted lover assaulted a woman employee with a machete, allegedly over her affair with another co-worker.
The accused, Nataraj (45), a senior assistant at KPSC office assaulted Jayalakshmi, 41, on the head. He also attacked two other male employees – Sarathi, a senior staffer in the computer section, and Ramu, the secretary’s attendant. A seriously injured Jayalakshmi has been admitted to the hospital.
Reportedly, Nataraj had an extramarital affair with Jayalakshmi and had divorced his wife a year ago to marry her. However, Jayalakshmi had developed an affair with Sarathi and hence refused Nataraj ‘s proposal. Recently Natraj came to know about their relationship and decided to kill her said sources.
On Monday around 11.20 a.m he arrived at the office with a machete concealed in a newspaper, barged into the secretary’s locked chamber and assaulted Jayalakshmi.
Due to lapses in the security, Natraj was able to sneak in a huge machete into the KPSC building, informed sources.
