Journalist names his daughter ‘Asifa A Raj’

Kasargod a journalist from Nileshwar has named his newborn baby as Asifa A Raj after a tribal girl in Kashmir was assaulted.

The journalist, Rajit Ram, created a Facebook post which went viral with over 25,000 likes over 16,000 shares in a short span.

Rajit Ram from Nileshwar, who works as sub-editor for ‘Matru Bhoomi’ from Kannur, announced through his post that he had named his daughter as Asifa S Raj.

Ram claimed that he motive behind this act is to bring justice to the Kashimiri girl, Asifa.
