Kadaba: Debt-ridden farmer hangs self

Kadaba: A 53-year-old debt-ridden farmer has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Koila village near here on Wednesday, October 10.

The deceased, Kushalappa Gowda from Kolya in the taluk had availed loans from banks and private money lenders but was unable to repay the same on time due to the poor yield, revealed family sources.

Depressed over his situation, he is said to have hanged himself from the roof beam of the shed attached to his house when no one was around. 

He is survived by his wife and four daughters.

A case has been registered with Kadaba police.
