Kalburgi Police Raid Gambling Centres, Arrest 17; Seize Property Worth More than 15 lakh

Kalburgi: Kalburgi police raided illegal gambling centres in Sedam town of the district and arrested 17 persons. Cash of Rs 7.52 lakh, 8 two wheelers, 2 cars and 18 cell phones also seized from the accused here on Tuesday, the police sources said.

The police officers speaking on the raid said, for the first time in the history of Kalbugi district, the police seized such a huge amount along with properties worth in lakhs.

The police have also arrested four more accused inconnection with their alleged role in illegal money laundering case and seized cash of Rs 49.17 lakh in another operation, police sources said.
