Karkala: Police deployed near mosque after violation of lockdown rules

Karkala: An incident of lockdown violation was reported from a mosque at Tellar within Durg gram panchayat limits in the taluk here.

It was reported that morning Eid namaz were held in the mosque on Friday with about 25 people in attendance.

Police arrived at the spot after receving a tip off. Many escaped from the mosque soon after seeing the police.

Later, more police officials were deployed to the area to prevent any untoward incidents.
