Karkala: Town council staff files complaint for disruption of duty

Karkala: A town council tax collector here Chandrashekhar has registered a complaint against a town resident Prashant Devadiga for obstructing him while performing his duties and physically assaulting him while he was on duty.
In the complaint, Chandrashekhar has stated that he was performing his duties of recording and uploading the photos to the COVID-19 Quarantine Watch App of those who are COVID-19 positive and those who were in primary and secondary contacts and those who have arrived from other States.
On August 30 at 9 am when he went to the Satyanarayana Nagar residence of Prashant Devadiga, Nirmala and Lakshmi Devadiga who are in quarantine, Prashant Devadiga objected to Chandrashekhar coming to their house and verbally abused him.
The town police who registered the complaint are investigating the incident.
