Karkala: Woman lecturer found hanging at residence

Karkala: A 42-year-old woman, a lecturer by profession died by suicide at her residence on Monday, September 20.

The deceased is identified as R Mamata Shetty from Tellar here. She was teaching at Sri Vankataramana women’s college.

Mamata’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her house. It is said that she was suffering from mental depression and hence it is suspected that she took the extreme step.

A case is registered at the town police station here.
