According to resolution passed by the dissent leaders in the convention held on Thursday in the state capital, the dissent leader urged the party leadership to interfere in the internal issues of the party and elevate KS Eshwarappa as Karnataka State BJP president replacing present president BSY. The leaders also communicated, BSY should continue as chief minister candidate for next assembly elections to be held in Karnataka.

The dissent leaders including KS Eshwarappa criticised the way of functioning of state president in the convention held under the title, ‘Save Organisation (Save BJP)’ at Palace ground in Bengaluru today. The dissent leaders alleged in the meeting that, BSY functioning like a dictator within their democratic party and he should listen the voice of the other leaders also to strengthen the party further in Karnataka.

Meanwhile, some BJP MLAs, MPs urged the party leadership to take disciplinary action against those who attended ‘Save BJP’ convention even if Amit Shah resolved the differences between BSY and KS Eshwarapaa. The conventions like Save BJP could adversely impact the functioning of the party in the state, BJP leaders said in a press conference in the city registering their protest against the convention organised.
