Karnataka: Record-breaking 99 new COVID-19 cases in a day

Bengaluru: Over 99 people have been reported COVID-19 positive in the State in the past 24 hours, a new record. Most of the positive cases are people arriving from other States.
In the afternoon bulletin, 84 people were reported to be COVID-19 positive, 5 in Kalburgi, 2 in Dakshina Kannada and one each in Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.
Five cases were reported in Bangalore’s Shivajinagar.
In Kalburgi, of the 5 cases, 4 are children. 2 are Mumbai returnees and 3 from Pune.
The total number of positive cases in the state has increased to 1246.
