Kasaragod: In a comical incident reported from the town here, a police patrol unit enjoyed barbecue food prepared for a party whose participants ran away on seeing the approaching police vehicle.

The incident occurred on Sunday, when a police unit, patrolling to enforce the lockdown imposed in the State from May 8, noticed a barbecue party organised in the open by a group of young people.

As soon as they approached the party site the youths ran away leaving behind all the prepared food and two two-wheelers.

The police ate up the food and later seized the two-wheelers.
