Kodibengre: Locals staged a protest in front of the District Institute of Educational and Training (DIET)  against the transfer of an additional teacher from Kodibengre School.

The district-level additional teacher transfer and counseling process are currently underway in DIET, and the police advised the locals to not interfere. However, the locals were adamant about receiving justice.

There was also a verbal altercation between the police and the villagers.

The school currently only has three permanent teachers, all of whom are doing an excellent job in teaching kids from grades 1 to 7. But,  if one of the three teachers is transferred, the educational standard of the school will be significantly poor, locals argued.
