KSRTC asked to operate buses from M’luru airport

Mangaluru: In the backdrop of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) granting permission to KSRTC to operate buses from the airport to Manipal, Chief Secretary TM Vijay Bhaskar on Friday, October 26 directed the officials to start the service at the earliest.
Speaking to officials after inspecting developmental works at the airport, Bhaskar informed that the BMTC has been successfully offering bus services from the international airport in Bengaluru to various place in the city for some years now and hoped that KSRTC would emulate its success.
He also inspected the progress of work on the new Deputy Commissioner’s office complex at Padil and the new market complex being built at Surathkal.
Later, the Chief Secretary, in a meeting held with New Mangalore Port Trust officials instructed them to take measures to enhance coffee exports through the port.
