K’taka bypolls: RR Nagar Congress candidate submits nomination

Bengaluru: The Congress candidate for the upcoming bypolls to Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency in Bengaluru H Kusuma filed her nomination papers on Wednesday, October 134.

Kusuma, wife of late IAS officer DK Ravi was accompanied by KPCC President DK Shivakumar and Congress Legislative Party leader Siddaramaiah.

The polls are scheduled to be held on November 3.

The byelections has been necessitated for Sira following the death JD(S) legislator B Sathyanarayana in August; while the Rajarajeshwari Nagar ( R R Nagar) seat fell vacant following the disqualification of then Congress MLA N Munirathna under the anti defection law last year.
