Bengaluru: A day after inducting seven ministers into the Karnataka Cabinet, chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday, January 14 said that no BJP legislator must express their discontent in public and asked them to maintain the party’s charisma.
Speaking to reporters here, Yediyurappa said, “If any MLA is disgruntled over their exclusion from the cabinet, then they can go to Delhi and speak to party leadership. They can express their discontent to the senior leadership.”
Reports of discontent among BJP loyalists surfaced soon after the announcement of the cabinet expansion, with legislators alleging that Bengaluru and Belagavi have got a lion’s share of the cabinet berths.
In a controversial statement, Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal alleged that three men who had sought his support to depose Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa have now become Cabinet ministers through blackmailing tactics and paying money.
