Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress has condemned the violence in Delhi over the amended Citizenship law that has claimed the lives of five people including a police constable, and said that Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra plotted the whole incident.

” Delhi violence is a blot on democracy & this is state-sponsored terrorism. There are ample evidences to show that police are hand-in-glove with the goons & are creating trouble. We have never seen such incidents since independence Shameless HM @AmitShah should resign immediately” tweeted the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee’s official Twitter handle.

“Amit Shah is the most incompetent HM of independent India.

His track record;

Absolute failure of law and order,” read another tweet.

Violence spiralled over the amended citizenship law in northeast Delhi, turning it into a battlefield on Monday, February 25 with frenzied protesters torching houses, shops, vehicles, and a petrol pump, and hurling stones.

A head constable was among people killed and at least 50 others, including several paramilitary and Delhi Police personnel, were injured in the violence.
