K’taka COVID-19 update: 5,007 cases on July 24

Bengaluru: 5,007 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the State today. With this, the cumulative total has risen to 85,870 in the State.

110 new COVID-19 deaths were reported on the same day raising the total death count till date to 1,724.

Bengaluru Urban district has again become the highest additive to the State’s COVID-19 numbers with 2,267 cases on July 24.

Other districts after Bengaluru district are Mysuru (281), Udupi (190), Bagalakote (184), Dakshina Kannada (180), Dharwad (174), Kalaburagi (159), Vijayapura (158) and Bellari (136).

2,037 people were discharged from hospitals across after recovering from the virus.

Presently, there are 52,791 active cases in the State undergoing treatment.
