K’taka COVID-19 update: 5532 new cases, 4077 discharged, 84 deaths on Aug 2

Bengaluru: 5,532 new cases of COVID-19 were reported across the State on Sunday, August 2.

4,077 people were discharged after recovery and 84 COVID-19 deaths were reported on the same day.

The highest number of cases were again reported from Bengaluru Urban district (2,105).

Other districts with high cases include Ballari (377), Kalaburagi (238), Mysuru (238), Raichur (212), Udupi (182), Dharwad (181), Davanagere (178), Belgaum (172), Dakshina Kannada (163) Haveri (146), Hassan (142), Bidar (135), Bagalkot (131) and Vijayapur (113).

Presently, 638 infected cases are admitted in the Intensive Care Units across the State.

The total tally of the State has increased to 1,34,819 of which 74,590 are active cases.
