Bengaluru: The High Court here has granted permission to investigate Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa in a case of attempt to lure opposition legislators.
A case was registered against the chief minister in Devadurga by Sharanaguda, son of MLA Naganagouda, in this regard in February 2019.
Along with the chief minister, MLA Sivanagowda Nayak, MLA Preetham Gowda and N Maramkal were named in the complaint.
Yediyurappa had appealed to the High Court to quash the FIR and the court had ordered an injunction.
However, now a bench headed Justice Michael Cunha has rescinded the injunction and ordered an investigation.
