Kudroli: Lifeless body of 11-year-old missing girl found in Kulur River

Mangaluru: The lifeless body of the 11-year-old girl, who had gone missing from her home in Kudroli on Sunday morning, was recovered from the Kulur river in the afternoon on October 24.
According to the sources close to the family, the victim, Mufeeda, daughter of Salam, resided at Hyderali road in Kudroli. She had an intellectual deficiency, sources added.
The CCTV footage from a nearby home showed the girl walking alone at around 8 AM on Sunday towards the river which was a couple of hundred meters away from the house she lived in.
It is believed that the girl ventured out without the notice of the family members when they were busy with household chores.
The mortal remains were sent to the Wenlock Hospital for autopsy by Bunder police, sources said.
Further investigations are underway.
