Kundapur: 4-member gang assaults RTI activist

Kundapur: An RTI activist was assaulted and issued a death threat by a four-member gang near Vinayaka theatre here on Friday night.
The victim Sadashiva Kotegar (56), a resident of Kundeshwara Road has been hospitalised.
Reportedly Sadashiva had filed an RTI query on matters relating to revenue, forest department and encroachment of ponds and the assault could have been connected to this.
Kundapur police registered a case in this regard. The District RTI Activists’ Association has urged the police to nab his assailants at the earliest.
