Kundapur: Cyclist dies after being hit by car on the highway

Kundapur: In a tragic road accident, a cyclist was killed after a car hit his bicycle near Herikudru here on Sunday morning.

The deceased, identified as Shridhar Mayya, was riding a bicycle on NH66 from Tallur towards Kundapur when a car rammed into him at around 9:20 AM.

As a result, Mayya suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Kundapur. He died later without responding to treatment.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the driver of the car, named Chndrakanth, at the Kundapur Traffic police station.
