Kundapur: Govt Job Fraud; Man loses Rs 10 lakh

Kundapur: A man in Gangolli  was cheated to the tune of Rs 10 lakh by a fraudster, who promised a government job for his sister.

The victim has been identified as Rehan Ahmed, a resident of Trasi village. He has accused Latesh Sanjeev Kumble of cheating him.

According to the complaint, Latesh claimed that he knew several politicians and promised to get a government job to Rehan’s sister Sabina Akhtar. Rehan transferred Rs 10 lakh to Latesh but he failed to provide the job.

Rehan then demanded the money back, following which Latesh gave a cheque of Rs 6 lakh to Rehan. But the cheque bounced.

A case has been registered.
