Kundapur: Man arrested for attacking cops

Kundapur: Police officials have arrested a man on charges of attacking police officers on Saturday, July 2 at Gulvadi.

The arrested accused has been identified as Abdul Ravoof. Another accused Nizam is still absconding.

It is said that Koppa SI Srinath Reddy, ASI Ganga Shetty along with personnel Prashant and Amit Chowgule had gone to Kundapur to question an accused named Danish.

When they reached his residence, Danish’s father Iqbal said that Danish had gone to Koteshwar in his vehicle.

Police were on their way to Koteshwar when accused Ravoof and Nizam waylaid their vehicle and began abusing the cops.

The accused also pelted stones at the police officials. Later, Ravoof was arrested and Nizam escaped from the spot.
