Kundapur: Two detained for flashing weapons at hijab-saffron shawl protests

Kundapur: Police detained two men of the six men accused of flashing knives at protestors during the dispute over Hibjab and Saffron shawl in educational institutions here on Saturday, February 5.
Haji Majeed Gangolli 932 and Rajab Gangolli (41) were detained based on a complaint by sub-inspector Sadashiva Gavaroji. However, three others fled from the spot. They have been identified as Khaleel, Rizwan, and Ifthikar, reports said.
Kundapur police station has registered a case and is conducting further investigations.
Abdul is a known rowdy sheeter with seven cases registered against him at the Gangolli police station alone. Rajab also has a case registered in the same police station, reports said.
