Sullia: Due to heavy rains, a landslide has cut-off traffic movement along the Mangaluru-Madikeri state highway since Monday morning, August 13th.
Alternate arrangements have been made for traffic passage after soil from a hilly area in between Talattamane and Madikeri caved in. However, landslide was reported even on the alternate route near Madenadu since Sunday night. Hence, there traffic movement between Mangaluru and Madikeri has been totally cut-off.
Highway officials rushed to the spot and a JCB has been pressed into service to clear the road of the soil at the earliest.
