Mangaluru: A law student accused K.S.N. Rajesh, a special public prosecutor of the Lokayukta Division, of sexual harassment.
A case has been registered at Mangaluru women’s police station in this matter, informed Mangaluru city police commissioner N. Shashi Kumar on Tuesday, October 19.
As per the complaint, the student had joined Rajesh’s Karangalpadi office for training on August 8. The accused had on multiple occasions coaxed the young girl for sexual favors.
The complaint said that on September 25, the victim was called into his chamber at the office and allegedly used force to rob the modesty of the girl and attempted to rape her.
For the past few years, Rajesh has been serving as a special government prosecutor in corruption cases registered with the Lokayukta.
Two days ago, an audio clip of a purported telephonic conversation between Rajesh and the student was widely circulated on social media.
However, Rajesh has denied all the allegations made.
