Mangaluru: Lawmaker Vedavyas Kamath has condemned the action where hateful and insulting messages were written on false currency notes and put in the donation boxes of Sri Daivaraja Kordabbu temple at Babugudde in Attavar.

“It is not possible to tolerate acts that hurt religious feelings. The sanctity of the holy place must be protected else it will have a negative impact on society. Strict action will be taken against those who did these things,” MLA Kamath said.

“Many have been pained by the derogatory writings on the false notes. I have discussed this with police officials and have instructed them to take legal action against the culprits,” he said.
