Light showers grace many places in coastal Karnataka

Belthangady: As per Met Department’s forecast four days ago, light rains hit most parts of the taluk here early in the morning on Friday.
There were good showers between 3:30 am to 4 am, and it was drizzling till 8 am with cloudy weather.
Rice paddy crop has been harmed by rains and in some places, areca nuts left to dry have been soaked.
Rains were also reported from Ujire, Charmadi, Mundaje, Belthangady, Dharmasthala, Kalmanja, Nidle, Kalanja, Belalu and Kaniuru.
