Lokayukta sleuths catch Harihara BEO red-handed while receiving bribe

Davangere: The Lokayukta sleuths caught Harihara Block Education Officer (BEO) B C Siddappa red-handed while accepting a bribe for license renewal of a private school, here on Thursday.

Siddappa is accused of demanding Rs. 50,000 from the Founder and Chairperson of Vidyadahini School, Raghunath. He had collected Rs. 10,000 in the past.

On Thursday, while accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 15,000, the Lokayukta inspectors Anjaneya, Rashtrapati, and staff led by Lokayukta SP M S Kaulapure caught Siddappa red-handed.
