Lovers attempt suicide by jumping into Tunga river; youth dies

Shimoga: A couple has tried to commit suicide by jumping into the Tunga river near Bypass Road bridge on Friday, August 14.

The localities who witnessed this incident tried to rescue them and they were able to rescue the woman. However, the man drowned in the water.

The woman has been admitted to Meggan hospital for treatment

It is gathered that they are yet to identify the couple.
