Major fire destroys factory

Bengaluru: A large fire broke out through a factory in Kempegowda Industrial Estate near Kamakshipalya on Friday afternoon at around 3:45 pm. The fire and emergency services had to dispatch seven tenders to douse the fire.
The fire lit up at the transformer oil recycling unit that converts the oil into gum tape. There was no loss of life in the fire. however, goods worth Rs. 20 lakh was destroyed. The employees at the factory said the fire lit up as a result of a LPG cylinder blast.
The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. Fire officials collected samples from the accident spot, which they will send to the Forensic Science Laboratory to conclude the cause of the fire.
