Staging a protest outside the Mini Vidhana Soudha, Kamath that only 20 per cent of properties (i.e an approximate 30,000 to 35,000 of the 1,70,000 properties in the Mangaluru sub-registrar taluk and city limits) have secured the property cards so far while several who have applied in the year 2012 are still waiting to receive the cards.
Kamath highlighted that the office of the Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR) is unorganised and lacked enough computers, scanners or an efficient CAD system to complete the process quickly.
