Mallikarjun to contest as Congress Candidate from Davanagere?

Davanagere: Though the Congress Party has not officially announced its candidate from Davanagere, MLA Shamanur Shivashankarappa hinted that his son and former minister, S S Mallikarjun, would contest the Lok Sabha elections from the Davangere seat as the candidate of the Congress-JD(S) coalition.
Addressing presspersons, Shivashankarappa said that his son Mallikarjun has agreed to contest the Lok Sabha polls and that the latter would win the election.
Shivashankarappa confidently said that the Congress party would win the Lok Sabha elections, despite the increase in the ratings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, the Congress party workers have already started campaigning for S S Mallikarjun, informed sources.
