Malpe: Coastal Security Police rescue 4 fishermen from sinking boat

Malpe: Four fishermen were rescued from a fishing boat that was sinking by the Coastal Security Police on Sunday, November 24.
The rescued fishermen are Anand Moger, Guru Kharvi, Manjunath, Ramesh Chalavadi
As per the sources, at about two nautical miles south of the island of Netrani, in the limits of Bhatkal police coastal unit, a fishing boat, Shrileela, had started to sink after the diesel tank kept on the top of the boat fell down damaging the lower portion of the boat, Following which, water started entering into the boat.
Malpe coastal unit after learing about the incident, a team of Bhatkal coastal unit police led by Malpe coastal unit’s SP R. Chetan launched an emergency operation and rescued the drowning fishermen.
The operation was carried by the Bhatkal coastal unit Inspector Nagaraj, Sub Inspector Annappamogera, Technical Staff Captain Mallappamudigoudar and Kalasi Sanjeeva Nayaka.
Following the rescue operation SP Chetan has informed that the team will be rewarded with the appropriate awards.
