Malpe: Sword attack by a gang leaves a youth critically injured

Udupi: A gang armed with swords attacked a youth at Malpe fisheries port leaving the youth grievously injure on the early hours of Friday June 7. The youth had visited the fisheries port on fishing business and is currently admitted in the ICU of Manipal hospital.

The injured is identified as Riyaz (34), a resident of Farangipet of Mangaluru taluk. He was attacked by a gang of four people armed with swords at Maple fisheries port.

Apparently, the miscreants had followed Riyaz’s car when he had come to the port on fishing business. The victim is currently responding to the given treatment and his condition is said to be out of danger.

Manipal police station has registered a case in this regard.
