A wedding invite of a couple from Tamil Nadu’s Salem has created quite a buzz on social media. The invitation, published on Monday states that Mamata Banerjee and Socialism are going to tie the nuptial knot this Sunday.
Netizens were left wondering whether the invite is real or photoshopped.
Socialism is the son of Salem Communist Party of India’s (CPI) district secretary, Lenin Mohan, popularly known as A Mohan. Notably, Mohan’s family are staunch supporters of CPI and his other two sons are named Communism and Leninism.
Since the invitation went viral A Mohan received several calls confirming the aunthenticity of the card and the wedding nuptials of his son.
“Everyone is so curious about the names of the bride and the groom. Cadres, friends and many from media called me to verify whether the invitation is genuine, I was so irritated with so many people asking the same question but later got used to it,” Mohan was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.
Meanwhile the bride’s family are hardcore Congress supporters and has been named after the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, who was earlier with the Congress party.
