Man arrested for sharing nude pics of woman on social media

Kasaragod: A man was arrested by Punjalakatte police station personnel for posting nude pictures of a woman on social media. The accused, identified as Manjeshwar resident Jeethesh Safalya.

Apparently, the accused was friendly with the woman for the last three years. On May 8, 2018, the accused came to her home and when she was alone in the house, captured her nude pictures on his mobile phone. Later, as the family of the woman opposed her marriage with the accused, he posted her nude pictures on social media as an act of revenge.

Based on a complaint filed at Punjalakatte police station on Sep 18^th, a case has been registered under section 354(D) 67(A) IT. The PSI and staff gathered sufficient details of the accused and arrested him in Manjeshwar on September 19 and produced him in court which remanded the accused to judicial custody.
