Man booked for submitting forged documents in friend’s bail procedure

A man was booked for allegedly submitting fake documents while standing surety in the bail process of a friend in Kalyan railway court in Maharashtra’s Thane district, a police official said on Monday.

The man had submitted fake tax receipt, Aadhaar and ration card photocopies and a false affidavit as part of his personal details in the court while standing surety for a person accused of robbery by railway police, he said.

The man has been booked for cheating, forgery and other offences at MFC police station on the complaint of a court official, he added.
