Man brutally murdered by cousin at Chembugudde

Mangaluru: A middle-aged man was hacked to death at Chembugudde near Thokkottu on the night of Wednesday, July 3. The deceased is identified as Narayana (45) a coolie worker staying at his father’s sister Lalitha’s house at Chembugudde.
The accused is Rajesh (35), son of Lalitha and a paternal cousin of the victim. He was working in Gujarat and used to come home once in three months. This time he arrived on a leave.
According to the available information, Rajesh allegedly killed Narayana using a machete, which he washed after the murder. Family dispute is suspected to be the cause behind the action, inform police sources.
Ullal police and senior police officials from Mangaluru city have visited the spot.
