Man caught with 1.2 kgs of Ganja

Mangaluru: A ganja peddler has been nabbed in a joint operation by the Mangaluru North sub-division Anti-Rowdy Squad and Panambur police. As much as 1.280 kg of ganja in the possession of the accused has been seized by the police. The accused is identified as Azeez alias Mohammed Azeez (43), son of Abdul Rahman, a resident of Kasba Bengre.
Apparently, the accused was peddling marijuana to lorry drivers at Tannirbhavi and surrounding areas. The accused was arrested by the police team made of Anti-Rowdy Squad and Panambut police, based on credible information at Tannirbhavi. During the arrest the cops also seized 1,280 kgs of ganja worth Rs 25,000.
The wife of the accused is also a ganja peddler and cases are pending against both the accused with Panambur and Coastal Security Police station, inform police sources.
