Man gets 15 years for molesting minor girls

Kasargod: The additional sessions court in Kasargod district sentenced a man for 15 years with a fine of Rs 35,000 under POCSO Act for sexual harassment of minor girls.

The accused Balamurali (32) a high school teacher, resident of Nirchalu Malladka. The victims are his students studying in the third standard.

The harassment by Balamurali was exposed when one of his victims informed her friend and the matter reached her family who complained to Childline. Later a case was registered against him at Kasargod police station.

The court also directed the government to pay assistance to the victim children through the legal services authority.
