Man murdered by his wife and children, body tossed down cliff

Chickmagaluru: A alcoholic man who was a trouble at home was murdered by his wife and children. His body was tossed down a slope in Charmadi ghat.
The deceased has been identified as Veerabhadrachar (60), a local of Arasikere in Hassan. This case has come to light as of late, many days after the incident. Identifying with the episode, Moodigere police have captured three people. The captured people are Veerabhadrachar’s wife Gangamma, son Manjunathachar, and daughter Mangala Tyagaraj.
Veerabhadrachar lived with his family in a rented home at Kannakatte in Karadihalli, Hassan district. Veerabhadrachar, a carpenter was a chronic alcoholic. He used to drink alcohol before getting back home everyday and raised a commotion, it is said. The family, who were fed up up by his conduct, together chose to kill him. They smothered him with a towel on the morning of Wednesday April 11. His body was taken to a slope near Somanakadu in Charmadi ghat and after that tossed down.
The body was found in the valley on Friday. A social worker, Muhammed Arif, informed the police about an unidentified body. The police drew out the body with help of local people and started to look for his family. During investigation, they learnt this is a case of murder. They finally identified the body and nabbed the murderers.
