Man, paramour commit suicide in Beltangady

Beltangady: A 29-year-old married man and a 16-year-old minor who were in an illicit relationship committed suicide at Sudemugeru within Beltangady town panchayat limits on Sunday, April 14 night.

The incident came to light when the deceased, Kiran Kumar’s wife Laveena came home on Monday morning.

It is gathered that Kiran and Laveena loved each other and got married a few months ago. Kiran who was working as a mechanic in a garage had taken a house on rent here. The deceased minor who happens to be a relative of Laveena was also staying with them.

On April 14, Kiran and Laveena had a fight after she objected to him roaming around with the minor on his bike. Later Laveena went to her relative’s place. When she returned home on Monday she found her husband and the minor dead.

Belthangady police has registered a case in this regard.
