Man secretly films wife, daughter; arrested

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru city police arrested a man for harassing his wife and daughter after secretly filming them.
The accused is Uday Vernekar, a private firm employee.
In her compalint, the victim said that her husband used to secretly film them while they got dressed. When she came to know about this, she confronted her husband following which he threatened to upload the videos on social media. The husband justified his act by saying that she was her property and he could do anything with her.
However, when the victim realised that Uday had also been doing the same with his daughter, she threatened him with police action. The accused threatened to kill her but unfazed the victim filed a complaint with the Adugodi police.
Based on a complaint filed by the wife, the police have arrested Uday Vernekar, charging him for outraging the modesty of a woman and criminal intimidation. He was produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
