Man sexually harasses daughter-in-law; arrested

Bengaluru: Police arrested a KSRTC employee allegedly sexually harassing his daughter-in-law.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul Rahman Ilyas, from Benson Town. He is a divisional controller at KSRTC.

Ilyas has been accused of allegedly asked his newlywed daughter-in-law to strip before him as he stood naked. He also asked her about her private moments with her husband Abdul Hadi, whom she married in December. 

She has further complained that, the accused had cheated her and her family saying that his son Abdul Hadi was a graduate and worked in a reputed company, while in fact he was a school dropout.

When questioned, her husband and his father started harassing her. Post this, she left the house.

She also produced evidence of Ilyas’ pervert act, and based on that, the police arrested him. He has been booked for outraging her modesty and also under dowry harassment.
